To Valladolid, the historic city in northwest Spain, once the capital of the country during the reign of Philip III in the early 1600s.
It’s the city where the marriage of the ‘Catholic Monarchs’, Ferdinand of Aragon and Isabella of Castile was arranged (unifying Spain in 1469) and where Christopher Columbus died.
Sights below include: San Pablo Church, the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Church of Santa Maria and Valladolid Cathedral.
Plus the city is the centre of the Ribera del Duero wine region.
