The London Jazz Festival is in full swing! We took in the world famous Jeff Watts trio with celebrated guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel on Tuesday evening (main photo). A great evening of free flowing modern jazz and food at Pizza Express in Soho.
The festival continues in London to Sunday 25 November. The big performers are here, but many of the events are free, or a nominal price, to see up and coming British and international talent.
The festival first started in the 1970’s in the borough of Camden, becoming the ‘Capital Jazz Festival’ some years later. Today, it is a London-wide festival with international artists performing at venues ranging from the larger halls (such as the Barbican and Royal Festival Hall) to smaller jazz clubs, such as Ronnie Scott’s.
